Here is a beautifully restored Galaxie 500 XL I purchased from Detroit in march of 2006. The previous owner Pat bought the car from the desert in California as a rust free project. He spent hundreds of hours restoring this beast, replacing or rebuilding nearly every part on the car. There is a hot and heavy 460 that's been decked, punched .040, the heads were ported and milled .030, 10.5 to 1 forged pistons, lunati cam and roller rockers. The transmission is a beefed up C6 with a 3500 stall speed converter. The rear is a ford 9" with a 3:50 posi. This car is a real screamer on the street, but you also get to live in luxury as you sit in it with your legs fully stretched out in comfort.
